Yesterday, a homeless man who lives in the alley behind my house asked me…
“Excuse me, do you have an old blanket I might be able to have?”
I told him I absolutely do! And I went inside my house to find one.
I looked in our closets and garage, and noticed I actually have about 7 spare blankets we don’t use, as well as 6 sleeping bags!
After giving him a sleeping bag, we also offered him a pillow. He said yes.
So I went back inside… Do you know how many pillows I have in my house? 9! (A bit much considering only 2 people live here!) Also, we have 22 more couch pillows, seat and patio cushions.
This was a real eye opener for me.
I have the life of a KING compared to many other people. And I will never take it for granted and promise to appreciate every tiny little advantage I have in life.
