Talking with a friend the other day about living life to the fullest, he said…
“Joel, I can’t live my best life all day every day. Sometimes I wake up and I feel only 4 out of 10. Some weeks i’m exhausted and accomplish nothing. It’s unrealistic to think everyone can be a 10 out of 10 every day.”
I think there’s a misconception about “living your best life”… It doesn’t mean unleashing your maximum potential every second of every day, having no stress, or running at 100% all the time.
It’s more about reaching for the most ideal situation you can, given the current conditions you are under. If you wake up and only feel 4 out of 10 that day, that’s OK! Just be the best 4 out of 10 you can be.
If you’re under tremendous stress and life is falling apart, that’s OK! (It happens to everyone at times). Just maintain whatever cool you can and get through the rough patch.
To Do Today: Given your current circumstances, what is the most ideal outcome for today and how can you inch towards that?
Remember persistence is your advantage. Not perfection.
Cheers to an awesome day ahead!
