My neighbors’ Mum just had a kidney transplant. Surgery went well, she is now in recovery.
But the cool part of the story is how she got her new Kidney…
It’s called a 3-way kidney exchange. Her daughter donated a kidney to person 1. Person 1 donated their kidney to person 2. And person 2 donated their kidney to the Mum!
4 people, all in surgery, swapping kidneys to benefit 1 person. It’s amazing just thinking about the love that people have for another.
