Well, dang! No wonder I’ve been feeling so tired lately – my bedtime is all over the place! I’m averaging less than 7 hours of sleep the past month. I’ve been groggy, slow thinking, and less motivated than usual in the mornings.
I always tell people the secret to getting up at early every day is getting enough sleep. I’m drifting of course!
Now that I realize I’m off track, I have 3 options:
1) Don’t change anything. The problem with this is I’ll continue to ware myself down and be groggy and tired each morning. Why get up early if I’m not enjoying the time?
2) Start sleeping in. This is a slippery slope. Catching up on sleep in the morning might lead to getting up 1, 2, then 3 hours later. I would completely miss my personal time each day.
3) Get to bed earlier. I think I’ll go with this plan. Enforcing a new bedtime, not staying up on my phone, and getting into a healthy sleep routine. Nothing great happens after 9pm anyway, I may as well be resting 🙂
